MJ Calderon Whalen is a dynamic and seasoned HR executive with over 15 years of experience spanning military, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and finance. MJ earned her MBA from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. A passionate advocate for continuous improvement, she brings both strategic vision and practical solutions to every endeavor.

She previously served as Vice President of Human Resources at an HCA Healthcare hospital and held leadership roles at Johns Hopkins, Hilton, and Marriott properties.

In addition to her extensive HR expertise, MJ is a keynote speaker, author, and founder of TWO Partners, a SHRM recertification provider, where she develops courses that foster the professional growth of HR practitioners and professionals across industries.

As a former military spouse, MJ’s career was shaped by frequent relocations, giving her a unique perspective on resilience and adaptability in leadership. Since her spouse’s retirement in 2020, she settled in Tampa Bay, Florida, where she continues to consult, facilitate training, and deliver HR solutions for midsized organizations.
